Biography
David Pearce grew up in rural Johnson County. His father was a vocational-agriculture teacher and farmer, so David learned firsthand the values of a good education and hard work.
David lives in rural Warrensburg with his wife, Teresa, and their two children, Molly and Andrew. He is still involved in 4-H and State FFA activities.
A 1978 graduate of Warrensburg High School, David attended Central Missouri State University and received a Bachelor of Science degree in agricultural journalism from the University of Missouri in 1984.
David is Vice President of First Community Bank in Warrensburg. He also is a former executive director of the Warrensburg Chamber of Commerce and has been involved in numerous civic organizations, including Warrensburg Rotary and Johnson County United Way.
An experienced legislator, David has served in the Missouri House of Representatives since 2002.
In the past legislative session, he was Vice Chairman of the Higher Education Committee, and a member of the Public Safety and Corrections Committee of Appropriations. He also was appointed to special committees on Job Creation and Economic Development and Evaluation of the 911 System. In previous terms, David served as Deputy Majority Whip, Vice Chairman of the Job Creation and Economic Development Committee and a member of the Missouri Military Preparedness Commission, Education Appropriations and Financial Services Committees. He is also Chairman of the House Republican Policy Development Committee.
